Well I have pics some where, I keep running way behind on blog stuff, always have, so tough luck if you are one of those wanting constant updates on what people are doing. Speaking of which, what am I doing? I have an entry in the 'Ambience' contest, highly unlikely to win that as I am not shoving friends at it to go vote (hate that sort of thing), and the curator upon recieving my entry asked "you doid understand the theme didn't you?" rofl One I explaind you sit in it and get the words, and then she tried it, she was very happy, but art that requires somone to do something like that, is not likely to do well in a competition. This is the second time I have entered a competition at Space 4 Art, and I quite like it, some fantastic artists.
Also pulling together a big display of past speedbuilds, hope to have some speedbuilds, texture contests and building classes, but see how we go. Normally I would have my good friend Attica working with me, but she is out of action for a while, and it is slowing me down a bit.
Ok last thing for now, the final part of BURN2 is the temple burn. Once again I filmed it, unfortunately 1/2 way through I ran out of disc space to record on, so had to scramble a bit to solve the problem.

Zoooooom
Well slack again, no updates for ages, which is a pity as there was so much I could have put.
This time it just seemed that I was always to busy to get in here and post what was happening. So lets see what has been and gone? -
SL9B the 9th birthday of Second Life http://sl9b.wordpress.com/, a huge event, that I took part in not just as a builder, but also as a presenter, stage manager, moderator, and exhibitors assistant. In others words general dogs body, I wore a lot of hats and at times had to juggle which was more important.
Around the same time as SL9B, was the Burn2 http://www.burn2.org/mini event. With time constraints from other things, I participated only as a builder, producing my fiendish maze.
RFL (Relay For Life) http://rflofsl.blogspot.com/ had the Dreams group seeking volunteers to help build a great area for people to enjoy on the theme of time for a cure. Each year the citizens of sl raise a fantastic amount of money for the American Cancer Society, and I helped out arranging things, landscaping, and calling on others to put to various items. Pictures from this can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos
That time of year that my rl friend adores, the Royal Show, came around and so I soon had all her rides and decorations placed strategically around our sim. ICalot, a good friend helped us out immensely with greeting people as they arrived and helping them with information, a very important job when half the people arriving are completely new to the world.
With the Show time not being that far removed from Halloween, we have been busy adding all the spooky gross stuff to give a new experience.
And finally on the horizon are two more big events for myself and my friend, the main big Burn2, in which I have taken on volunteer roles that again mean I am wearing many hats and putting in a lot of time as well as trying to do my own build.
The Burn2 event ends as the echo of another rl event starts for myself and the co-owner of our sim. Feast starts in November, a celebration of the diversity of people, this is an event I usually take part in rl, and try to bring a little of the celebration into sl.
Well there it is, busy busy busy, I will try and get some pictures up of the various things and then post the links for those interested.

My Resume
Well the sim remodel has gone a little slow this time, there always seems to be other things that have to get done. The latest is the Island Build at Dreams, and the upcoming SL9B (SL 9th birthday).
I decided to apply to help out at SL9B, and as part of the application, I had to basically show my resume. It was interesting to do, I had not really thought I had much of a resume until I wrote it down.
Organised and run two multipath (unique concept when I did it) grid wide shop hunts. With most stores having never been in a hunt before since I had invited them personally. The second of the 2 hunts incorporated artist galleries to try and save some of the many falling to lack of finances (again a unique idea at the time) These hunts consisted of 40+ shops, different to the ones you had in most other hunts, and the majority of those involved were happy to be part of future events.
Organised and run two art competion charity events with 100% of money raised going to the Red Cross for disaster relief. The ArtFest events had 20+ artists with their art spread around an entire sim for people to come and look at and vote on. As part of this, there was also concerts and art auctions. The wonderful Attica found auction items each time, and was her general good hearted self. The artists went along with my odd ideas of where to build and place their artwork (with the exception of one different person at each event, and those people decided for themselves not to take part which was definately for the best). Almost all involved wanted and want, to be part of things again if nothing else comflicts. Quite a few of the atists built on site as was preferred, so the people would come back again and again to see the progress ad donate more money. Relaxation spots and little fun things to do were also scattered about so people who spend time, bring their friends and return again and again to a welcoming place.
Hmm some fairly large events, Inception, Planing, Organising, Sucessful. Made lots of friends doing them. That's pretty good.
Recent times have seen the Sexy Sunday Speedbuilds held in the Adult sandbox, and being a volunteer helper and mentor at the sandbox. There is also the helping of friends, waifs, and at risk folk who are part of the Survivors Of Suicide group. (can't help it, I care, care, care).
Then in all the free time I build and try to put things together that I think are some kind of art (if only).
Whoohoo what a resume, didn't know I had one so good, just think what it would look like if I wrote it out in typical fancy resume speak....

Sim Remodeling
Well those popping over to the sim the ArtFests have been held on, have been getting a bit of a shock, as it is currently undergoing remodeling. Gone are the mountains, the deep rivers, and the beachy areas. Now there is rolling hills, and lots of art, apart from in the shop, the art around the place is not for sale, it is mostly my private collection that I have gathered over the years, plus some from friends collections as well.
Come have a look, and if you like what you see, look at the creator and track them down to see nore.
